Introductions for the week

From: Christen
To: All on 28-3 leadership!

Hello beautiful ladies! I hope the first few days of your summer break have been going well. You are greatly missed now that we can't meet or see one another in passing. Well, this blog was not discussed among us, but I'm hoping that it can be one more way to keep in touch with one another.

If at all possible, try to check it at least once a week to keep up with the lives of everyone. Also, remember that this blog isn't just for me or the big four, but for all of you to use to share prayer requests, random stories, memories, funny things that happened to you over the summer, ideas for the hall, and to keep in touch with us better!

This week, if you could all post at least once to share your summer plans, specific prayer requests that you have, and who your prayer partner is for the summer!

Your bible reading for this week is going to be Proverbs, Ephesians, and Philippians.
Tuesday, 12th: Proverbs 12 and Ephesians 1
Wednesday, 13th: Proverbs 13 and Ephesians 2
Thursday, 14th: Proverbs 14 and Ephesians 3
Friday, 15th : Proverbs 15 and Ephesians 4
Saturday, 16th: Proverbs 16 and Ephesians 5
Sunday, 17th: Proverbs 17 and Ephesians 6
Monday, 18th: Proverbs 18 and Philippians 1
Tuesday, 19th: Proverbs 19 and Philippians 2

Your prayer focus this week for your prayer partner is that they would get adequate rest both spiritually and mentally through this break.

Regarding Rest:
Matthew 8:24 -Without warning, a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping.

Recently, the Lord has been teaching me alot about rest and its importance on many aspects of our lives. We are to rest rather than spend time worrying about what might happen. We are to rest when things are going crummy. We are to rest when we don't get an immediate answer from the Lord. Rest is merely clearing our mind of everything that could potentially distract us from our walk with God. This activity may seem pointless, but when we're resting in the Lord then we're not worrying, stressing, wasting time, or maintaining an always-moving mentality. Rest is not just a suggestion, it's necessary to not become spiritually sleep-deprived.
